The Cannon Lodge
The Cannon Lodge offers a real home away from home and is beautifully nestled in the centre of the ever-growing town of Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, offering guests comfortable accommodation as well as free secure parking.
Built-in the 1880s, it was the home of one of the town’s first Magistrates and has since been earmarked as a historic landmark and is one of the oldest and best-preserved buildings in Northern Natal.
Guests have a choice of twin, double, and family rooms, each with a terrace. Furnished with comfortable beds, the rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, a desk and mirror, Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TV, tea and coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms with showers. Complimentary toiletries and fresh towels are provided for convenience and some of the rooms also have microwaves and bar fridges.
Guests can relax peacefully in the lovely and picturesque garden, and the lodge provides daily housekeeping, 24-hour security and front desk assistance. Due to renovations, the lodge’s restaurant and conference room are temporarily unable to serve breakfast.
